About this chart
Estimated paths assume a clean, flat release in calm air. Printed flight numbers lead; matching reviews make modest corrections. The distance setting changes throw effort and flight shape. Forehand uses a slightly different spin-to-speed response, without assuming wobble. Nose angle, spin, plastic, weight, wear and wind can change real flights.
Discmania FD3: 9 | 4 | 0 | 3
The FD3 is Discmania's stable-to-overstable workhorse fairway driver, aimed to get the work done no matter the conditions. For more powerful players, the FD3 maintains a reliable straight flight pattern for a good bit of distance before the powerful fade inevitably kicks in. For lower arm speeds, the FD3 acts more as a utility driver that always flies predictably thanks to its strong low-speed fade. It's not the most overstable driver ever created, but it offers a great balance of range, accuracy and fade for many, making it a choice you'll rely on in various situations from both backhand and sidearm. Thanks to the different plastic and release versions out there, you can almost always find the right stability for your needs!
